My name is Eva Cumner and I used to live in a little village just south of Birmingham, England. I have now, after 13½ years, moved back to my old home town Karlskrona in the south of Sweden.

I was born and raised on the island of Gotland in The Baltic, though my father Torsten Andersson came from Ronneby in the province of Blekinge. My mother Mildred was born and raised in Visby on Gotland. My maternal grandmother Olga Svensson came from Oskarshamn in the province of Småland. My maternal grandad Hjalmar Olsson was a true Gotlander though, with strong roots in the southern parts of the island.

My main pastime is genealogy which I have pursued since about 1986. After moving to England in 1991 it went on the backburner for some time, but with the computer and internet I could soon get back in touch with my old genealogy friends and continue where I left off. The contacts this hobby gives me around the world is a great bonus. I have contacts in the USA and Canada among other places, "nobody mentioned, nobody forgotten" as we say in Sweden!
